As we move into October and the remnants of our ‘BBQ’ Summer leave us hoping that the pundits forecasting an economic upturn have a bit of an edge on the Met Office, we thought we’d give you a snapshot of recent activity at Line Up. As you’ll see, it’s been a very busy Summer and we leave it in a frenzy of preparation for projects for Compass Group, Volvo, Inchcape, The Design Council, Indesit and Bankhall, to name but a few. More of those at a later date - here’s what we’ve been up to in the last few weeks.


Line Up
 
British Gas   July saw our first live project for British Gas. One British Gas was a strategic two-day event for 800 staff from its Information Systems and Business Processes division. To accommodate numerous important messages, we designed and built a series of individual walk-through presentation areas at Beaumont House, Windsor.  
 
England Athletics   We sent Line Up producer, Lawrence Andrews and camera crew back to University this summer. They’ve been at Loughborough using their facilities to film a series of coaching films for England Athletics and UK Athletics. The films, soon to appear on the UKA website, aim to roll-out a new approach to coaching and mentoring to all UKA registered coaches, in preparation for 2012 and beyond.  
 
Days Healthcare   Days Healthcare, the UK’s leading supplier of mobility products, asked us to help them launch their new range of wheelchairs through a 4-venue roadshow targeting independent mobility retailers, journalists and key influencers such as carers and physiotherapists. The highlight of the one-day programme was the ‘Urban Obstacles’ circuit, designed to demonstrate wheelchair capabilities and durability.  
 
Skandia UK   More recently we’ve been on the road producing our first major project for Skandia UK. Trailblazer is the financial services provider’s annual forum for the financial adviser community which, this year, will see up to 2,000 delegates attending presentations at 9 different UK venues. The events enable Skandia to provide the audience with updates on its offering and an assessment of the industry, in addition to providing valuable networking opportunities.  
 
FM&BE Awards   We’ve been short-listed in 2 categories for the FM&BE Awards which are widely recognized as the leading accolade in Field and Brand Experience Marketing. Fingers crossed that Line Up and Volvo will be amongst the winners at the London Marriott on 8th October. We’ll keep you posted…  
 
Mr & Mrs Smith   And finally, the boutique hotel people, Mr. and Mrs. Smith have let us prove that we are absolutely at the top of our game – of softball, that is. We took them on in the torrential rain of our so-called BBQ Summer. The venue was Turnham Green and the result was an all out victory for Line Up. Forget the Ashes - our sporting prowess knows no bounds! We welcome new challenges from client or supplier teams...
